Consortium Italoffshore started is activity in 1984, on the initiative of a group of leading Italian companies including IREM s.p.a. and Sonim s.r.l., that had decided to join synergically their complementary resources within a Consortium, whereby they were able of operating effectively to program using leading-edge technology  in the construction, hook-up and commissioning of turnkey offshore platform contracts.


Innovative techniques and expertise employed in the assembly of large steel structure enable to launch and deliver large platforms weighing over 30.000 tons with complete reliability while complying with clients’ demanding delivery requirements.


Consortium Italoffshore based its main yard for the construction and assembly of jackets, decks and modules in the Augusta, anchorage at  a Punta Cugno, near Syracuse in Sicily.


Punta Cugno Yard covers an available surface of 151.000 sq meters and it has been set for the installation of offshore structures (jackets, deck, modules and similar) starting from the prefabrication of components such as pipes, nodes, panels.
