QUALITY INSPECTOR to strengthen the operation area.
POSITION:
Irem spa is looking for a Quality Inspector for its internal staff to be included in the team. The resource will mainly carry out all the inspections, tests and inspections and the necessary actions to ensure that what has been constructed complies with the requirements of the Client, local & international standards, and internal standards in cooperation with the job and head office departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Carry out inspections on materials and related certification
- Check the correct execution of the storage and preservation activities of materials, pressure equipment, machines, etc.
- Ensure identification and traceability, during storage and manufacturing.
- Supervise the final tests.
- Be present to all control activities referred to in the Quality Control Plans by issuing the related reports.
- Ensure that the instruments and/or equipment used for tests, checks and inspections are calibrated and suitable for the scope.
- Carry out visual-dimensional checks on what has been achieved.
- Carry out inspections and checks on flanged joints.
- Carry out inspections and checks on insulation and painting.
- Carry out inspections and checks on structures during the manufacturing and assembly phase.
- Carry out inspections on installations of machines and pressure equipment.
- Carry out checks/validation/calibration of inspection and testing tools
- Carry out non-destructive tests such as PT/MT/PMI/Ferrite/hardness.
- Carry out inspections at supplier’s premises upon request.
- Carry out non-compliance reports in cases where conditions are found that do not comply with the requirements.
- Identify the causes of the deficiencies, analyze them, and implement the necessary work actions, in collaboration with the operational staff, to remove them.
COMPLETE THE JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate should have appropriate knowledge of:
- industry standards (EN1340, EN 13445, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, EN 1090, ASME BPV, etc)
- technical drawing
- basic and filler materials
- inspection and control tools
- non-destructive testing (PT/MT/RT/UT/ PMI/Ferrite/hardness)
- Secondary school
- 3 years of experience in the industry
- Knowledge of the English language
- Familiarity with the most common software and ability to use a PC.
- Good interpersonal and team work skills
- Independence in the management of its activities
- Problem solving attitude
- Respect for the rules
