IREM Spa announces it has been awarded a service contract by BGEN for Piping & Mechanical activities to be performed at ExxonMobil Fawley Petrochemical Complex. BGEN are one of the UK’s largest engineering companies, driving the energy transition for their clients in power and energy providing greener, sustainable engineering solutions.

The £800m investment by ExxonMobil at Fawley will create a new low sulphur diesel plant, which will increase production at the site by 45 per, reducing UK imports of diesel by a quarter. The project is also supported by a steam methane reforming hydrogen plant.
